February is National African American History Month and this year’s theme is “A Century of Black Life, History and Culture,” celebrating the numerous contributions African Americans have made to art, literature, sports, and music. Bishop Library has a display highlighting some of the most influential African Americans that have contributed to American culture. Some of the individuals featured in this display include: Jackie Robinson, Ella Fitzgerald, Maya Angelou, Louis Armstrong, and Shirley Jackson.
